Motoring Literary & Art Festival date confirmed: British Motor Museum, 20-21 September 2025
We are delighted to be holding our second Motoring Literary Festival, on September 20 and 21, 2025. Launched at Silverstone in 2023, the first one was a great success and we had fabulous feedback. Not surprisingly, we learnt a great deal and will be applying those lessons to the Festival in 2025.

ABOUT
About the Motoring Literary & Art Festival
Welcome to the Motoring Literary & Art Festival
The venue will be the British Motor Museum which we consider to be ideal. It is in the middle of the country, a handful of minutes away from the M40 (Junction 12). The museum is comprehensive and superb, and the facilities should work very well for our requirements.
The initial plan is to have a minimum of two theatres and eight sessions per day. We will also have a selection of leading artists and publishers exhibiting their work.
Below, to give you a taster, are some details of our inaugural 2023 event. We are working on the 2025 programme and look forward to announcing our speakers shortly. If you have not already, please sign up to our newsletter so we can keep you informed.
About The Festival
The first inaugural Motoring Literary & Art Festival, organised by Porter Press International took place on the opening weekend of December 2023, in a heated hall inside The Wing at Silverstone Circuit – the home of British motorsport.
Devoted to motoring books, magazines, art and automobilia, the two-day event was built around – in grand literary festival tradition – a programme of interesting and entertaining panel discussions and talks. A stellar line-up of speakers included industry leaders and experts, writers and designers from across the wide world of motoring and motorsport.
The event also featured prominent automotive artists, an array of specialist exhibitors and a stunning selection of Star Cars.

Speakers & Panel Discussions
The weekend included a programme of distinguished speakers and panel discussions, plus talks by authors, drivers, engineers, collectors, restorers and designers. More and more great names were gradually added to the developing schedule.
Philip Porter said: ‘This is an idea I had in principle about three years ago but the pandemic put everything on hold. Now it has happened I hope this will build and build to become a significant annual event on the motoring calendar. Our small, but brilliant, team worked their socks off and we have received an absolute plethora of complimentary messages.’
Artists & Exhibitors
Complementing the literary aspects of the event was an amazing selection of motoring art, with leading artists displaying and selling their work, together with vendors of prints and evocative period photographs.
